Nick Shabel is an Associate Attorney at the Hankey Law Firm, LLC. Nick was born and raised in Cullman and has lived here most of his life. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Alabama. In 2014, he received his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University (Newark, NJ) where he received a Chancellor’s Scholarship and a special certificate in the field of healthcare compliance. Nick has been working as a family law attorney for over six years, both as a Deputy Attorney General for the Alabama Department Human Resources and in private practice.
In his free time, Nick enjoys reading a good book or enjoying the outdoors on a hike with his partner of six years and his dog. He also serves on the board of the Cullman Community Theatre and enjoys performing in their plays when he can.
Nick loves practicing, arguing, and studying the law, but understands that the process can be confusing and upsetting to the average person. He finds great fulfilment in helping clients navigate the confusing legal environment toward solutions that work for them and their unique circumstances and lives.
